Our Story

For nearly 50 years, Jyoti's has been bringing the authentic flavours of Gujarat and India to families across the UK.

Founded in 1977 by brothers Raj and Mukesh Joshi, the business began with a simple passion for sharing traditional vegetarian food and handcrafted Indian sweets. Having learned their craft while working in their father's restaurant, they dedicated themselves to preserving authentic recipes, quality ingredients, and the warm hospitality that has become synonymous with the Jyoti name.

What started as Birmingham's first Indian Sweet Centre has grown into an award-winning family business, trusted by generations of customers. Every sweet, savoury snack, and traditional dish reflects decades of experience, craftsmanship, and a commitment to authentic vegetarian cooking.

Our sweets are still made with the same care and attention to detail that made us famous nearly five decades ago. From rich barfis and traditional mithai to freshly prepared savouries, we continue to create products that bring families together for celebrations, festivals, and everyday moments.

Today, Jyoti's remains proudly family-owned, combining time-honoured recipes with the same values that inspired us in 1977: quality, authenticity, and exceptional taste.
